Long-Term Substitute Spanish Teacher

POSITION: LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE SPANISH TEACHER Northwestern Middle School START DATE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED END DATE: Anticipated 12-weeks This is an anticipated long-term substitute position to cover a leave of absence. Exact end dates may change based on the returning employee's leave schedule. CERTIFICATION : *Spanish Secondary Education (023) *Excellent Communication, Organizational, and Classroom management skills *Willingness and ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals within the department and across other disciplines *Passion for language instruction and cultural education CLOSING DATE: As soon as filled PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a passionate, experienced Spanish Teacher to join our faculty in a long-term role.

The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop Spanish fluency while deepening their appreciation for Hispanic cultures.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish language courses across grades 7-8. * Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards * Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment * Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback * Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school events COMPENSATION: This position is compensated at the BA-1 step of the current Northwestern Teachers' Association (NTA) salary schedule, with placement subject to flexibility based on the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
