Job description

The BSA/AML Analyst reports to the VP of Compliance and receives day-to-day direction from the BSA Officer for completing BSA/AML functions including, but not limited, to monitoring and investigating suspicious activity, CTR review, SAR preparation, OFAC reviews, and customer due diligence.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent 2 years of banking experience preferred but not required Multi-tasking ability Strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to perform efficiently at a fast pace while conforming to policies and procedures Team-player mindset and eagerness to help others Responsibilities Review and investigate unusual activity, alerts, referrals, and high-risk transactions Develop proficiency with AML monitoring within Verafin AML management platform Review new accounts for compliance with Customer Identification Program and Customer Due Diligence requirements Review potential OFAC matches Review all accounts opened online and complete CDD information in Verafin Review and monitor accounts for non-US persons Assist bank personnel with BSA-related questions Cross train and serve as a backup for other BSA and deposit compliance duties Assist with preparing regulatory BSA exam and audit requests Assist with oversight of online training program Assist with monitoring of deposit compliance Assist with preparation of annual escheat reporting for unclaimed property Stay up-to-date on regulatory and internal policies, procedures, and changes related to BSA and deposit compliance Assist in the training of staff as needed Perform other related duties as assigned Working Conditions/Physical Demands Position operates in a professional office environment Routine use of standard office equipment, i.

e. computers, phones, photocopiers, calculators, and filing cabinets Must be able to remain sedentary 50% of the time Employee will occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
