Homemaker and Companion - Brooklyn, NY

Universa. Care is hiring a homemaker and companion to provide care to clients in their own homes in Brooklyn. This is a field position: you’ll travel to clients’ homes, not work in an office. Hiring, onboarding and support are handled by our Universa. Care of Brooklyn office at 1820 Avenue M, Suite 405, Brooklyn, NY 11230.

Pay: $19.65 to $25 per hour. The starting rate is New York’s home health aide minimum wage and rises each year with it. Schedule: Part-time and full-time. What you’ll do Provide companionship, conversation and activities Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry Run errands and go with clients to appointments Help clients keep a safe, steady daily routine What you need A caring attitude and reliability; caregiving experience is a plus Eligibility to work in the United States Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role Benefits Weekly pay An easy-to-use app to clock in and out 401(k) retirement plan Referral bonus: earn $250 for each caregiver you refer once they complete their first 100 hours Tuition assistance after 2,500 hours worked with Universa.
