Job description

This role is a key independent contributor within the Finance team, responsible for driving zero-based budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close review of accruals and analytics for one division of a global biopharma leader. You will serve as the financial partner to divisional business leaders, translating business activity into actionable insights and supporting leadership review cycles with clear, data-driven forecasting.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in the details and in front of executives, offering both precision and perspective.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Own end-to-end divisional budgeting and forecasting using zero-based principles. Variance Analysis: Perform detailed variance reviews down to the GL account, project code, and purchase order level to pinpoint drivers and recommend course corrections. Month-End Close: Collaborate closely with accounting to identify, prepare, and book division-level accruals that ensure accurate financial reporting.

Leadership Deliverables: Build and present forecast decks for divisional and executive leadership meetings, synthesizing operational metrics and financial outcomes. Business Partnership: Engage proactively with business leaders to align forecasts with operational realities, build data-driven models, and strengthen decision-making.

Tools & Processes: Leverage enterprise planning systems ( Oracle EPM, Hyperion, Anaplan , or similar) and advanced Excel analytics to enhance forecasting efficiency and accuracy.

Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience, including divisional FP&A or business unit ownership. Industry Knowledge: Background in pharma, medical device, life sciences, or other regulated, science-based industries. Technical Acumen: Strong command of Excel and well-versed in enterprise planning tools (Oracle EPM, Hyperion, Anaplan, or equivalents).

Analytical Mindset: Ability to connect high-level P&L outcomes with detailed transactional data to drive strategic insights. Collaboration Skills: Confident communicator who can engage across functions and influence leadership decisions through clear financial storytelling. Work Style: Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable being hands-on with data — thriving in both tactical execution and strategic analysis.

An inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart.
