Senior GL Accountant

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior GL Accountant for a maternity leave coverage opportunity in New York City. This role is ideal for someone with strong general ledger accounting experience who enjoys taking ownership of the month-end close process.

Own weekly bank and credit card activity, including reconciliations. Manage accruals, prepaid expenses, and operating expense (OPEX) accounting. Review payroll accounts and investigate discrepancies. Prepare and post month-end journal entries. Manage month-end close tasks and workflows. Perform variance analysis and provide clear, insightful commentary. Support audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and requested information.

Strong experience in general ledger accounting and month-end close. Hands-on knowledge of bank and credit card reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, and journal entries. Experience reviewing OPEX and payroll accounts. NetSuite experience preferred. Familiarity with Coupa, Ramp, and FloQast is a plus. Strong ERP experience with other platforms will also be considered. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
