Site Operations Officer

Summary We are currently recruiting a vigilant, disciplined, and proactive Site Operations Officer for a position tailored to ambitious early-career professionals. This role offers comprehensive, hands-on experience in field engineering and drilling activities. Serving as the primary liaison for project management at active drilling and survey sites, the successful candidate will oversee daily site operations, ensure crew safety protocols, manage incoming material deliveries, and record key operational achievements.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site mobilization, monitoring the arrival of field personnel, drilling crews, and geophysical survey technicians to ensure adherence to strict project timelines. Generate precise daily logs that capture critical data, including drilling depth, geological strata shifts, water strike locations, rig operating hours, and any recorded downtime.

Inspect, receive, and validate all incoming supplies—such as uPVC casings, gravel packs, bentonite, cement, and fuel—confirming that quantities align with delivery documentation to minimize waste. strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations, ensuring all field staff, visitors, and subcontractors utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Act as the primary professional point of contact for clients, estate managers, and local community representatives visiting the drilling site. Capture progress imagery, document technical measurements, and submit structured daily status updates to the senior project engineer and administrative team based in Abuja.
