Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking a Loan Servicing Associate to join our Credit Risk Management team located on-site at our corporate office in Novato, California. Bank of Marin is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Loan Servicing Associate I to join our Loan Servicing team.

In this role, you will support the administration and servicing of loan portfolios by maintaining accurate loan records, processing loan-related transactions, and providing exceptional service to internal and external customers. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an interest in banking operations and loan servicing.

Maintain and update loan records and documentation within Bank systems. Process loan servicing transactions, payments, fees, ownership changes, and customer maintenance requests. Establish and maintain loan files, ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation. Review loan documentation for compliance with Bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate loan funding and disbursement activities as needed. Respond to customer inquiries regarding loan payoffs, assumptions, modifications, escrow matters, beneficiary changes, and other loan servicing requests. Research and resolve routine loan servicing issues. Collaborate with lending, operations, and other departments to ensure efficient loan processing and servicing.

Provide exceptional service to customers and business partners. Adhere to all Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA/AML compliance standards. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of loan servicing practices and loan documentation. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and banking systems. Ability to analyze information and solve routine problems independently. Basic mathematical and analytical skills.

Education

& Experience High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree, banking coursework, or related education preferred. Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of banking, loan servicing, loan operations, escrow, title, customer service, or related experience preferred. The hourly pay range for this position is $22.85 to $32.47.

In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
