Technology Support Specialist Position Type: Technology Support Specialist Location: Dakota CUSD 201 Compensation Range: $17.00-$18.50 per hour PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Building/district technology maintenance and support; Chromebook administration/support, help desk, technical support, maintain/troubleshoot computer equipment for the district; and perform related duties as required or assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology Responsibilities: First response to help desk tickets for building level needs during the school year and District level response during the summer. Install/maintain/support of hardware including monitors, computers, Chromebooks, loaner devices, projectors, printers, copiers, etc. as needed. Assist in reviewing computer hardware and software needs for the building/district at the direction of the Technology Director.

Generate and communicate new student accounts, passwords, ID's, etc. Perform other duties as assigned by the Technology Director. Manage user accounts (Novell and Google) Repair physical damage to end-user devices such as: screen repair, OS issues, motherboard or other parts replacement Maintain student Chromebook records Device asset and serial number, device inventory Student account information Device maintenance records and insurance information Qualifications: Experience with a range of software and operating systems in an education environment, including Google Suite for Education, Google Admin, Windows, Microsoft Office, and emerging technologies.

Knowledge and experience in working with computer operations (hardware and operating systems), computer installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, PC/Windows preferred Excellent communication, customer service, and collaboration skills. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team.
