We are looking for a proactive Compliance Officer to join our central Compliance function in Malta. You will support QIC Europe Limited, an authorised non-life insurer in run-off, in meeting its regulatory obligations and delivering fair outcomes for customers. Reporting to the Global Compliance Director, you will work closely with colleagues across Malta, the UK and other relevant jurisdictions.
Key Accountabilities Support delivery of the Annual Compliance Plan and maintain accurate compliance registers, logs and systems. Undertake monitoring, thematic reviews and control testing, reporting findings and escalating issues where appropriate. Monitor regulatory developments and help the business implement required changes.
Prepare timely regulatory returns, management information, and reports for management, committees and the Board. Support oversight of the run-off plan, legacy portfolios, complaints, conduct risks, outsourced arrangements and third-party providers. Assist with regulatory engagement and promote a strong compliance culture and fair customer outcomes.
Skills & Demonstrable Experience Experience in an insurance compliance function, ideally within non-life insurance or a run-off environment. Strong knowledge of MFSA requirements, Solvency II, IDD and relevant EU conduct and product-governance obligations. An understanding of delegated arrangements, outsourced providers, legacy portfolios and cross-border regulatory considerations.
A degree or relevant professional qualification, or progress towards ACII or an equivalent qualification. Sound judgement, initiative and strong analytical, written and stakeholder-management skills.
