HR Technology Lead Position Summary Position Summary The HR Technology Lead is responsible for the strategic administration, optimization, and integrity of the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems, with primary ownership of ADP and related HR technologies.
This role serves as the subject matter expert for HR systems, data governance, reporting, analytics, system efficiencies, AI integration and development, and process improvement initiatives across the Human Resources function. The HR Technology Lead partners closely with HR Leadership, Payroll, Finance, IT, and operational departments to ensure HR systems effectively support organizational goals, workforce analytics, compliance requirements, and business operations.
This position is responsible for maintaining data integrity, developing and analyzing HR metrics and strategic solutions, improving workflows and automation, managing system upgrades and enhancements, and leveraging HR technology to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and employee experience. This role requires a highly analytical and strategic professional with strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Essential Duties
& Responsibilities Develop and execute an HR AI and technology strategy aligned with organizational priorities, identifying opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to improve HR operations, decision-making, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness. Identify, evaluate, and lead the development and implementation of AI-enabled solutions for HR, including defining business requirements, evaluating vendors and technologies, developing use cases, piloting solutions, and measuring business impact and ROI.
Assess emerging AI and HR technologies and make recommendations regarding new solutions, integrations, and capabilities that can enhance HR processes, analytics, automation, and service delivery. Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for ADP and related HRIS technologies, overseeing system administration, configuration, security, workflows, integrations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and overall system performance.
Lead HR technology implementations, upgrades, enhancements, integrations, testing, and technical projects while partnering with IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and ongoing optimization. Manage HR technology vendor relationships and support processes, including ADP cases, escalations, system issues, enhancements, and opportunities to maximize system capabilities.
Develop and maintain an HR technology roadmap that prioritizes system enhancements, automation, integrations, AI capabilities, and other solutions based on organizational needs and strategic priorities. Own the accuracy, integrity, security, and governance of HR data and develop dashboards, reports, metrics, and workforce analytics that provide actionable insights to HR Leadership and executive teams.
Analyze workforce data and trends across areas such as headcount, turnover, recruiting, compensation, payroll, performance, attendance, and onboarding to support business decisions, workforce planning, and organizational improvements. Evaluate and redesign HR workflows and processes to improve efficiency, scalability, user experience, and data quality, leveraging automation, AI, integrations, and system enhancements where appropriate.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and recommend scalable technology, reporting, and process solutions that reduce manual work, improve operational effectiveness, and enhance the employee and manager experience. Ensure HR systems, data, reporting, and technology-enabled processes meet applicable regulatory, privacy, security, and organizational requirements; conduct audits and support internal and external audit activities as needed.
Partner with HR Leadership, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business leaders to translate business needs into effective HR technology, data, automation, and AI solutions. Provide technical guidance, training, and support to HR teams, managers, and employees while developing appropriate documentation and resources to drive effective adoption and utilization of HR technologies.
Stay current on HR technology, AI, analytics, automation, and industry best practices and proactively recommend opportunities to modernize and improve the organization’s HR technology environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Minimum of ten (10+) years of progressive HRIS experience, including AI solutions and integration, system administration, reporting, analytics, and process improvement. Advanced experience with Ceridian Dayforce strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of HR, payroll, benefits, recruiting, and workforce management processes. Experience with HRIS implementations, integrations, upgrades, and testing. Advanced reporting and analytics experience, including dashboard development and workforce metrics. Experience with SQL, XML, reporting tools, and database management preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Exceptional strategic problem solving and analytical skills. Unmatched attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to analyze large data sets and translate findings into actionable business insights. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend scalable solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information with discretion.

Compensation
