Job description

Primary customer contact for all facilities matters relating to existing facilities and properties. Prepares and executes the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) plan. Implement the annual O&M plan by defining the scope of O&M projects and overseeing the completion and evaluation of projects. Procure qualified vendors and service providers to perform maintenance work and ensure the performance meets established specifications.

Anticipates the facility needs of local Church leaders and support their efforts to engage members in caring for and cleaning meetinghouses. Communicates frequently and professionally with leaders, service providers, colleagues and other stakeholders in the planning, implementation and evaluation of O&M work. Inspect facilities regularly to ensure compliance with the approved standards.

Collaborates and supports a diverse team of professionals in planning, real estate, design and construction work. Performs ad hoc assignments as directed by management. 6 years of any combination of related experience including completion of a relevant university degree (e.g. facilities management, etc.) Facility Management Professional (FMP) certification is required or must be obtained within first year of hire.

Knowledgeable in facility and property management, construction procedures, business practices, safety, and fire codes. Proven front-line management skills in a multi-discipline work environment and ability to manage difficult situations to achieve a positive and appropriate resolution. Ability to communicate professionally with employees, priesthood leaders, contractors and vendors.

Must understand and be able to use computer maintenance management systems (CMMS), MS Office applications, department-specific software, web-based programs, internet services, and wireless communications. Has a strong understanding of the systems, processes, procedures, and programs of the Meetinghouse Facilities Department and the ability to communicate and teach others.

Displays organizational knowledge to ensure inclusion of appropriate departments and individuals in decision making. Shows a commitment to continued learning. Adaptable and flexible in a changing environment. Must be willing to travel regularly.
