• Service Manager, this is a new position and will oversee the daily work of the tree and pest technicians. This position can work out of the Rochester Hills, Canton, Brighton or Grand Blanc locations. Reports to: Chief Operations Officer (COO) General Job Objectives: Responsible for ensuring that our customers’ expectations for their pest care, tree and shrub healthcare, and holiday lights are being met or exceeded. Essential Job Duties:
• Training, and developing a team of 5-10 MDA licensed Tree and Pest Technicians to treat residential and commercial properties. Training and developing a team of 2-4 Holiday Light technicians to decorate residential and commercial properties
• Overseeing Tree and Pest Technicians routes
• Ensuring best pest, tree, and holiday light practices
• Identify pest, tree, and holiday light trends and opportunities
• Communicating department needs and issues with Chief Operations Officer.
• Encouraging a positive work culture and attitude
• Meeting daily with production staff to discuss production plans and issues
• Providing accurate and complete production records weekly and monthly
• Ensuring that equipment is operational for tree, pest and holiday light technicians
• Supervising the product usage to ensure compliance with all applicable company policies and to remain in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal standards on pesticide safety
• Troubleshooting and resolving employee and customer issues in a timely and effective manner to minimize turnover and cancels
• Providing customer service, running Service Call Managers, following policy with customer communication. Desired Experience: 1-2 years of holiday lights, tree and shrub healthcare, or pest control experience Willing and able to obtain a Tree and/or Pest certifications (MDARD) Previous experience with managing a team Vendor management preferred Skills/Abilities: Excellent organization skills Excellent communication skills Problem solving Detail oriented Self motivated High energy Self-motivated Requirements: Valid driver’s license Management experience Mechanical knowledge and ability to do repairs Work outside in all weather conditions Compensation Package:
