CNA House Supervisor Mc. Gregor – Assisted Living Department: Assisted Living Reports To: Director of Resident Services Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt Scheduled Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Every other Weekend & Holiday Make a Difference Every Day at Mc. Gregor Mc. Gregor is seeking a CNA House Supervisor to provide hands-on leadership and support to our Assisted Living team.
This position combines resident care, staff supervision, quality oversight, and team leadership to help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and person-centered care. The ideal candidate is an experienced CNA who enjoys supporting others, leading a team, and creating a positive environment for residents and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, support, and evaluate Care Associates and provide direction as needed. Oversee daily resident care and address concerns promptly and appropriately. Conduct daily resident rounds and report changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with staffing, scheduling, assignments, and shift coverage in collaboration with the Director of Resident Services.
Orient and support new employees and help ensure required training and education are completed. Monitor resident care, staff performance, service quality, and unit operations. Promote and support Resident Rights and person-centered care practices. Receive and provide shift reports, ensuring important resident information is communicated for appropriate follow-up.
Recognize changes in residents' conditions and promptly notify the appropriate supervisor or Director. Recommend corrective or disciplinary action when appropriate. Follow all Mc. Gregor policies and procedures, including infection prevention, safety, and resident-care standards. Assist with interpreting and implementing department and organizational policies.
Attend staff meetings, in-services, and committee meetings as assigned. Provide direct resident care when needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in good standing. Ability to read, write, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and other departments. Ability to provide leadership, direction, and support to Care Associates.
