Billing Analyst

About the Role

The Billing Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the billing processes within our organization. This position is responsible for analyzing billing data, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies to maintain financial integrity. The ideal candidate will work closely with both the accounting and corporate finance teams to support timely and accurate invoicing and reporting.

By leveraging strong analytical skills and attention to detail, the Billing Analyst will contribute to optimizing billing workflows and improving overall financial operations. This role is essential for maintaining positive client relationships through precise billing and prompt issue resolution.

Job Responsibilities

Analyze and verify billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness before processing invoices. Reconcile billing discrepancies by investigating and resolving account variances in collaboration with internal teams. Prepare detailed reports on billing activities, trends, and anomalies for management review. Maintain and update billing records and documentation in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Utilize pivot tables and other analytical tools to streamline billing processes and support financial audits.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in general and corporate accounting environments. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data with a high level of accuracy. Excellent organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a retail or store-based financial setting. Familiarity with billing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Advanced Excel skills, including macros and data visualization techniques. Certification in accounting or finance (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
