SPOTSWOOD PUBLIC SCHOOLS NOTICE of OPENING 2026-2027 Behavior Specialist Brief Description The Board of Education of Spotswood Public is currently accepting applications to fill the position of Behavior Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) certification or evidence of coursework toward appropriate certificate. Valid NJ Department of Education certificate preferred. Successful experience working with children with special needs. Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and school personnel. Knowledge of diverse needs of children with disabilities and appropriate special education classroom practices.

Required criminal history check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status Salary Range $55,000-$96,500 commensurate with experience Comprehensive Benefits Package Eligible for Medical, Prescription, Dental, and enrollment in the NJ State Pension Program
