Job description
Join Our Team as an Engineer I at ARRO Consulting! The Engineer I supports engineering projects through design, calculations, field investigations, permitting, construction observation, and project documentation. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.
The Engineer I will contribute to a variety of projects while developing technical and professional skills in a collaborative consulting environment. Essential Job Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of engineering design documents, details, calculations, and drawings. Support the preparation of construction cost estimates, specifications, reports, and permit applications.
Perform field investigations and document existing site conditions. Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with applicable municipal codes and ordinances. Collect and organize project data, including topographic, utility, and other site information. Assist with construction observation, site visits, and documentation.
Maintain accurate project files, correspondence, drawings, and other documentation. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to complete assigned project tasks on schedule and within budget. Participate in client communications and meetings as needed. Any other duties, as necessary, to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and uphold the values of the organization.
Required Skills/Knowledge Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Knowledge of basic engineering design and construction principles. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a project team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project needs. Physical Requirements – Work Environment Ability to work in both office and field environments. Ability to travel to project sites and other locations as needed. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and move throughout project sites.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to operate a computer, general office equipment, and motor vehicle as required.

Daily Work Location/Hours This position may be based out of any ARRO Consulting office, with travel to project sites and other locations as needed. The role includes a combination of office-based and field work depending on project assignments. This is a full-time position, generally working Monday through Friday.
