BRT Extrusions Inc. is a leading North American aluminum extruder serving high-growth markets, including data centers, automotive, and idustrial applications. Following its merger with Can Art, the combined organization is now the third-largest aluminum extruder in North America. Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will support accurate financial reporting, lead key month-end close activities, and strengthen accounting processes and internal controls. This role will collaborate across accounting functions, work with external accountants, and support the integration of BRT and Can Art's accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

& Success Factors Financial reporting & Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate financial statements and timely five-day close. Audit, Tax, & Internal Controls: Coordinate with external accountants on annual audits and tax filings while maintaining effective internal controls and improving accounting procedures.

Cross-Functional Accounting Support: Cross-train with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tam members to improve workflow, strengthen team coverage, and ensure timely completion of accounting activities. Merger Integration & Process Improvement: Support the integrations and standardization of BRT and Can Art's accounting processes, systems, and reporting practices while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.

3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing Bachelor's degree in business-related field, with focus in accounting required CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounting journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting required Experience supporting financial audits, tax filings, and internal controls Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting system skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, collaborate across departments, and improve accounting processes.
