Internal Service Advisor – Reconditioning, Ruge’s Auto Group, Rhinebeck NY Ruge’s is a family-run auto group in the Hudson Valley. We have a dedicated 6-bay reconditioning center in Rhinebeck that gets pre-owned vehicles ready for sale at our Ford and Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram stores. We’re looking for an organized, hands-on Internal Service Advisor to run it.

You’ll be the point person between our technicians and our used car managers, with one goal: get cars inspected, repaired and on the front line fast. Why Work Here $60–$80k per year, plus [bonus] Full time, Monday–Friday. No retail customers and no Sundays. Run your own shop: a 6-bay annex dedicated to reconditioning Manufacturer training from Ford and Stellantis Room to grow into Service Manager or Pre-Owned leadership roles Medical insurance, paid time off, 401(k) with company match Employee discounts on vehicles, parts and service What You’ll Do Open internal repair orders in CDK for every pre-owned vehicle coming into recon Review technician inspections and build reconditioning estimates Get repair approvals from the Ford and CDJR used car managers Dispatch work to technicians and keep all 6 bays busy Order parts and coordinate with both parts departments Schedule and track outside work, including detail, body, glass, tires and PDR Check for and complete open recalls Track every vehicle’s status and time in recon, and give daily updates to managers Quality-check finished vehicles before they go to the front line Close repair orders accurately and on time Apply in 2 minutes.

What You Need 2+ years of experience as a service advisor, shop foreman, recon coordinator or technician in a dealership Solid mechanical knowledge, so you can read an inspection and know what a fair repair looks like Strong organization and follow-through. You’ll be juggling many vehicles at once. Comfortable on a computer and with email Valid driver’s license with a good driving record Clear communicator who works well with technicians and managers Nice to Have (Not Required) Experience with CDK Ford or Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership experience Experience with a recon tracking system (v.
