(S) Mosquito Research Assistant

MaSU is looking for an on-campus student to work in the mosquito research lab during the 2026/2027 academic year. Students will learn to identify and count mosquitoes, perform mosquito dissections, and design a research project unique to the student. Continued work during the summer of 2027 will include help designing a mosquito ecology project, collection and identification of mosquitoes, setting up/taking down mosquito traps, data collection/organization.

Summer work will include both lab and field work. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and have a valid driver’s license. Preference will be given to science majors who can work both during the academic year and will stay in Mayville or local area to work during the summer, however students from any major can apply. Pay is $17/hour, up to 20 hours/week.
