Position Summary

A Cook 2 is an intermediate level cook who has mastered all entry level stations and techniques and is capable of working any station in the kitchen. Experience Required At least one year of experience in a related field Education, Certifications, Licenses, Registrations High school diploma or equivalent Major Responsibilities and Work Activities Arrive on time, well groomed, and appropriately attired Turns in requisitions to receiving and pick-up and store all items properly Follow the daily prep list and the instructions of your supervisor to prepare the days mise-en-place Work with the other cooks to set the line on time Take your break without having to be asked Always tell the chef when you are going before you leave your station Prepares all dishes according to menu specifications Work clean and organized, always cleaning as you go Always maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation Ask questions, listen closely, be sure you understand the chef’s goals before you start Taste everything before, during, and after cooking, but especially before serving anything to guests Take great care to maintain consistency in the product you create Always ask the chef if you can be of more assistance Clean deeply and thoroughly at the end of your shift Make sure that excess product is properly cooled and put away in the appropriate container, with a label and a date Check out with your chef before you go home Have fun and be passionate about food Prepare a daily prep list for the next day, taking care to be thorough Compensation: The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.

00 - $26.00 per hour. This is the rate Meadowood Napa Valley reasonably expects to pay. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education, and other job-related qualifications. This position is e ligible for service charge distributions and gratuities in accordance with company policy. Total compensation varies and is not guaranteed.
