Hot Shot Driver

Southern Transport is seeking dependable CDL A Hot Shot Drivers to transport time-sensitive freight safely and efficiently. Drivers operate pickup and trailer combinations to move equipment, materials, and specialized freight supporting customers across multiple industries.

Responsibilities include

load securement, vehicle inspections, trip planning, ELD compliance, customer communication, and adherence to DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards. Successful candidates are self-motivated professionals who can operate independently while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and customer service. This role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to respond quickly to changing customer needs.

Valid CDL Class A driver's license required Minimum 3 years of verifiable CDL driving experience Acceptable driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years Experience hauling hot shot, flatbed, or oilfield freight preferred Strong understanding of load securement and DOT compliance Ability to operate safely in changing weather and field conditions Ability to work flexible schedules and respond to customer needs Strong safety record and professional work history Ability to pass pre-employment screening
