Law Clerk

Status: Part-Time Temp| Closing Date: Open Until Filled Law Clerk Under the direct supervision of licensed attorneys, this role performs entry- to working-level legal research, drafting, and case preparation for the Uintah County Attorney's Office.

Key responsibilities include

assisting with criminal prosecutions and county department representation, conducting legal research, and drafting motions, briefs, and memoranda. The position involves reviewing evidence such as police reports and body-worn camera footage to identify legal issues and support trial strategy. Additionally, under student practice rules, the individual may appear in court for arraignments and hearings, manage discovery deadlines, and assist with appellate briefs, witness interviews, and victim consultations.

Applicants must qualify for, secure, and maintain a student practice certificate under the Utah Supreme Court Rules of Professional Practice for the duration of their employment. This part-time temporary position offers an hourly wage of $20, depending on experience, along with some fantastic perks!
