your Boston College experience! Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Development, the Assistant/Associate Director (AD) will serve as a project manager and content expert to advance key philanthropic priorities across the University to increase support and awareness for innovative programs, faculty and student achievements, research, and interdisciplinary initiatives.
The AD serves as a vital resource for colleagues across University Advancement (UA), including: Development, Stewardship Donor Engagement, Advancement Communications Marketing, Alumni Relations, and the Business Intelligence and Reporting teams. Core Responsibilities: Content Creation Messaging: Develop compelling verbal and written content for advancement purposes, including proposals, donor acknowledgments, appeals, briefings, meetings, events, and leadership correspondence.
Supply content and help coordinate access to relevant university partners, while ensuring consistency and accuracy of messaging across all advancement channels. Fundraiser Education and Program Development: Create high-impact instructional resources and practical learning tools to educate internal advancement staff and strengthen fundraising opportunities.
Data Analysis Collaborative Partnerships: Utilize data analytics and leverage internal partners (Gift Officers, Stewardship, and Prospect Development, among others) to support Directors of Development in advancing targeted gift opportunities, streamlining internal workflows, and optimizing overall donor alignment. Special Projects Innovative Expertise: Adapt and develop content expertise in new areas or take on special advancement projects as needed.
We are seeking to fill two (2) separate roles , each dedicated to fundraising priorities and focus areas. Candidates will be considered for either or both roles based on their interest and background. Portfolios are listed alphabetically and represent equal, parallel positions: Portfolio A: BC School of Law and the Lynch School of Education and Human Development Portfolio B: Connell School of Nursing, Messina College, Pine Manor Institute for Student Success, School of Social Work, and Clough School of Theology and Ministry (Note: Portfolio coverage areas are subject to change over time as university priorities evolve and there is demonstrated growth within the role).

The salary range for this position is listed below, with the final salary based on various factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and internal equity considerations.
Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and full-time equivalent hiring ranges: -Assistant Director: $67,350 - $84,200 -Associate Director level 1: $74,450 - $93,050 -Associate Director level 2: $80,150 - $100,150
