Housekeeper (HH)

Legacy is seeking a full-time Housekeeper for a 180-unit property located in the Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting resident apartments, common areas, bathrooms, and public areas according to a schedule and established procedures. The Housekeeper will also clean up after spills, accidents, and take out the garbage when necessary.

The ideal candidate will need to build and maintain positive relationships with staff and residents. This position is responsible for operating machines standard to housekeeping processes including extraction equipment, vacuums, along with various other duties as assigned. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent One or more years of related experience and/or training in general housekeeping and cleaning duties Maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas, according to established standards, observing proper cleaning technique Following proper care, maintenance, and use of equipment Reporting observations concerning equipment wear, defects, and malfunctions Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Customer Service attitude in all interactions with staff and residents Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required An Equal Opportunity Employer, our employees are our most valuable asset and Legacy is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusion.
