Test Lead - Automation

Experience: 3-8 Years. Role Summary. We are looking for a QA Engineer with hands-on experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, Database Testing and Test Automation. The ideal candidate will ensure product quality across UI, APIs, and backend systems while contributing to automation, CI/CD, and AI-assisted quality engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities. Analyze requirements and create test scenarios, test cases, and test data.Execute functional, integration, regression, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.Perform UI, API, and database validation to ensure application quality.Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright (Python/Py.

Test or TypeScript).Conduct API testing using Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or equivalent tools.Write SQL queries to validate backend data, transformations, and business rules.Log, track, and verify defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.

Support test planning, estimation, risk assessment, and release sign-off.Utilize AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor to improve testing efficiency and productivity.Required Skills. Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, defect lifecycle, and test design techniques.Hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Experience with REST API testing, authentication methods (OAuth/JWT), and JSON/XML validation.Strong SQL skills including joins, subqueries, aggregations, and stored procedures.Minimum 3 years of automation experience using Playwright and Python/Py. Test or TypeScript.Knowledge of Page Object Model (POM), reusable frameworks, reporting, and CI/CD integration.

Experience with Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, and defect management tools.Ability to effectively leverage AI tools for test case generation, automation scripting, analysis, and documentation.Preferred Qualification
