Job Overview: Job SummaryResponsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel for PEPCO projects, adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety standards. Job Responsibilities * Operate a variety of vehicles, including trucks with trailers, dump trucks, and other specialized equipment, in a safe and responsible manner.

• Transport materials, such as poles, wire, transformers, and tools, to and from job sites. * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, documenting any defects or maintenance needs. * Load and unload materials and equipment, securing loads properly to prevent shifting or damage. * Maintain accurate daily logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and hours of service.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, and crew members regarding schedules, routes, and deliveries. * Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as DOT regulations. * Perform minor maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure. * Assist with other duties on job sites as needed, such as flagging or assisting with material handling.

Job Qualifications** * Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. * Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy commercial vehicles. * Experience with PEPCO or utility-related transportation preferred. * Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen. * Knowledge of DOT regulations, including hours of service and vehicle inspection requirements.

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies. Company Overview: R.B. Hinkle is an underground and overhead utility contractor, specializing in the installation of conduit, manholes and streetlights through trenching, directional, drilling and moling.

The company also provides underground cable installation, including new cable, replacements, upgrades and service restoration.
