Commercial Loan Officer

Description To process and underwrite member business loan applications, and make recommendations for approval or denial according to established loan policy; to develop member business loans and member business accounts through outside sales; and to provide ongoing analysis of existing member business loans and to make recommendations for action as needed.

Requirements

Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education

(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree). Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.

Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Other Skills: Understanding of loan products, polices, regulations, loan underwriting concepts and lending risks are required, including understanding and working knowledge of the following: Personal financial statements, Cash flows, financial spreads Business entity types Commercial loan forms including notes, titles, UCC forms, liens and lien perfection.
