Hostess

The Hostess primary responsibility is creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They manage reservations, table allocation and the flow of reservations to maximize the guest experience efficiently. They provide excellent service both over the phone and in person, take to-go orders, reservations, and special requests.

Duties and Responsibilities

Welcome and attend customers upon entrance and exit of the restaurant. Obtain a working knowledge of all food menus. Provide accurate wait times and monitoring waiting list. Assist incoming customers to their assigned table. Answer any restaurant-related queries from walk-in customers or made through telephone call. Manage restaurant reservations.

Coordinate with servers about available seating options. Communicate courteously and effectively with customers and co-workers. Maintain a clean reception. Assist servers as needed. Maintain hygiene and grooming standards.

• Paid Annual Leave – Employees are entitled to one (1) week every six (6) months or two (2) weeks annually.
• Paid Sick Leave – Employees who complete six (6) months of employment are entitled to one (1) week annually. A Doctors Letters must be provided.
• Paid Maternity Leave – Female employees who complete one (1) year employment are entitled to thirteen (13) weeks max maternity leave. This time can be taken at any time during pregnancy or post-partum.
• Paid Compassionate Leave
• Employee with at least six (6) months employment are entitled to three (3) days compassionate leave. Applicable to deaths of immediate family members only. Immediate family members include Mother, Father, Spouse, Child, Grandparents.
• Public Holidays: Employees are entitled to double pay on Public Holidays.
• Gratuities. These are pooled with all FOH and BOH staff.
