Automotive Service Technician

Performance Ford of Somerville is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Somerville, NJ. ## Responsibilities

- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

- Inspect vehicles for mechanical and electrical issues and provide accurate assessments to customers.

- Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and engine tune-ups.

- Maintain detailed records of all service and repairs performed.

- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain vehicle issues and recommended repairs.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.

- Stay up to date with latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

## Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience as an automotive service technician or mechanic preferred.

- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and service bulletins.

- Good communication and customer service skills.

- ASE certification is a plus.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
