Assistant Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of municipal infrastructure and construction projects. This role works closely with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and in compliance with technical and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Support planning, coordination, and execution of infrastructure projects Review project plans, specifications, and construction documents Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and internal departments Monitor project progress and assist in resolving issues Assist with permit reviews and ensure compliance with standards Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to project specifications Interpret contracts and assist with budgetary controls Verify and process progress payments Assist in negotiating contract changes Expedite responses to construction submittals Participate in meetings with stakeholders and project teams Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Physical Sciences, or a related field Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in: Construction Construction inspection Design, geotechnical, or environmental work Or a closely related field Required Skills Strong communication (written and verbal) Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to review: Surveys Floor plans Site plans GIS or mapping systems Proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams Adobe Additional Requirements Valid Texas Driver’s License required Strong customer service skills (phone, in-person, and email) Why Join This Opportunity Full-time, stable role Day shift schedule (Monday–Friday) Opportunity to support large-scale infrastructure projects Collaborative, team-oriented environment Apply Today Submit your application to be considered for this opportunity.
