Job description
Our client is part of a global engineering and infrastructure group and provides engineering, construction, industrial services, and maintenance solutions to customers across the industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. KEY PURPOSE The Perimeter Director is responsible for driving the operational, financial, and strategic performance of a defined perimeter of Business Units. They ensure sustainable growth, strong operational execution, and alignment with the Group's operating model and values, while developing people and fostering an entrepreneurial and inclusive culture.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Business & Financial Performance Drive the performance of the perimeter (revenue growth, profitability, cash generation) Ensure robust business planning and forecasting processes Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions where needed Support Business Unit Managers (BU GMs) in achieving their operational and financial objectives Leadership & People Development Recruit, develop, and support BU General Managers and key talents Drive succession planning and talent pipeline development across the perimeter Promote a high-performance culture combining individual accountability and team engagement Strategy & Growth Define and implement the development strategy of the perimeter (organic growth, diversification, external growth) Identify business opportunities and support innovation within BUs Ensure strong positioning of the perimeter in its markets Key Projects / Major Projects Lead or oversee major projects within the perimeter, particularly those with significant strategic or financial impact Ensure the successful execution of key projects in terms of quality, cost, timeline, and risk management Support Business Unit Managers in managing complex or critical projects Ensure appropriate governance and control of contractual, operational, and financial risks Drive lessons learned (REX) and promote best practice sharing across Business Units Operational excellence & Governance Ensure compliance with group standards, policies, and governance frameworks Drive operational excellence and risk management practices Ensure consistency and alignment across BUs while respecting decentralization Change management Lead and support transformation initiatives (HR processes, systems, organization, culture) Ensure effective adoption of new tools and processes across countries and BUs Balance global frameworks with local adaptation to ensure engagement and sustainability Culture, Inclusion & Engagement Promote the Group's values and leadership principles Foster an inclusive, diverse, and respectful workplace aligned with the Group's ambitions Ensure employee engagement and well-being across the perimeter Promote collaboration and internal networking to build a strong sense of belonging across the Group and its business units.
The responsibilities and tasks of the position are not limited to the above-mentioned, and changes might occur in concert with the direct Manager.
