Staff Accountant II

Position Overview

We're seeking a Staff Accountant II to play a key part in maintaining & analyzing financial records along with supporting the month-end close process. This is a hands-on role that will involve general accounting functions ranging from journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement analysis, assisting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff, etc.

The position works directly with the Controller to ensure transactions are recorded accurately, discrepancies are identified early, and deadlines are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Support day to day accounting function across the general ledger, ensuring transactions are accurate and properly recorded Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the month-end close Own assigned close tasks and meet deadlines within an established monthly close process Research discrepancies and unusual transactions, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate corrections Ad hoc reporting & analysis to help solve business problems Prepare documentation and support requests for external audits Partner with Sales, Purchasing, & Operations teams to strengthen internal controls and communicate procedures Qualifications Bachelor degree in accounting or finance preferred Three or more years of accounting experience Analytical and solutions-oriented, with the ability to investigate issues and resolve problems independently Experience with month-end close processes Experience supporting audit requests and preparing schedules Working knowledge of AP and AR lifecycles Solid understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger structure Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, or similar Strong Excel skills including formulas, filtering, pivot tables and lookups Experience with balance sheet reconciliations including prepaid expenses, accruals, depreciation, and amortization Benefits/Perks: Discount on company services for you, the employee Full Health, Dental and Vision Benefits as well as ancillary benefits Amazing benefits: 401(k) match program, paid holidays, monthly massages, quarterly company family meetings & many other fun activities
