Job description

Role Overview As a QA Engineer, you will be a generalist who supports quality across the platform. You will validate new features, run regression cycles, test APIs and backend behavior, and help decide when a release is ready to ship. You will work with whichever team needs coverage most, so you are comfortable switching between web, mobile, and API testing, and between feature work and release crunch.

You report to the QA Lead and partner closely with the mobile QA and automation engineers and with the product. Candidates based in the Eastern or Central time zones are preferred, so the working day overlaps well with the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

& Areas of Ownership Test new features across web, mobile, and API layers in close collaboration with product and engineering during active development. Write, maintain, and execute test cases and test plans for new and existing features. Run regression testing cycles ahead of releases and confirm each build meets quality standards before it ships.

Perform exploratory testing to find issues that scripted test cases miss. Test backend and API behavior, including request/response validation, error handling, and data integrity. Validate wallet, balance, and financial transaction flows with the care that real-money products require. Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, evidence, and severity assessments, and verify fixes.

Work with the mobile QA engineer and the automation engineer to identify regression cases worth automating, and contribute to automated test coverage as time allows. Flag quality risks, gaps in coverage, and process improvements to the QA Lead. Required Skill Set & Evaluation Criteria 3 to 5 years of hands-on QA experience on web and/or mobile software products.

Strong manual testing skills: writing clear test cases and test plans, running regression suites, and exploratory testing. Experience testing APIs with Postman or similar tools, and working knowledge of SQL for validating data. Experience with Jira and a test management tool such as Test. Rail. Experience testing financial, payments, or wallet flows, or other products where errors have real monetary impact.

Interest in betting and prediction markets (markets, odds, events, settlements). Direct sportsbook or betting experience is a strong plus. Comfort using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) to speed up test design and bug triage. Clear written communication, and the ability to prioritize when several teams need testing at once.

Comfortable in a fast-moving Agile environment with regular releases, and working remotely with a day that overlaps ET or CT business hours.

Compensation

& Ownership Competitive compensation aligned to role and market Equity opportunities so you share in what we’re building A clear connection between impact and reward Health & Wellbeing Medical, dental, and vision coverage Flexible time off built on trust and accountability A culture that respects your time and avoids unnecessary meetings Remote & Flexible Work Fully remote within the U.
