Horticulture Training Specialist 📍 Williamsville, NY | 💲 $20.00–$24.00 per hour | Full-Time | Monday–Friday Are you passionate about nature, growth, and community impact? The Arc Erie County is seeking a Horticulture Training Specialist to deliver hands-on agriculture instruction and vocational training to individuals with disabilities.

In this role, you’ll do more than manage a garden. You’ll inspire connection and independence. You’ll provide hands-on opportunities for vocational development, agricultural skills, and community collaboration while helping individuals gain confidence and entry-level employment readiness. From tending our local plots to running dynamic community events like farmers markets and vendor shows, you’ll play a key role in building an empowering, creative space for adults with disabilities.

What You’ll Do: ✨ Develop and implement an engaging horticulture curriculum ✨ Conduct hands-on gardening and agriculture instruction to prepare students for employment ✨ Plan, implement, and maintain beautiful 3-season gardens at our Wilson Rd and Black Water Acres (Alden) locations ✨ Create meaningful volunteer opportunities that utilize students ’ skills to benefit the community ✨ Coordinate and run seasonal community events, farmers markets, and vendor showcases What We’re Looking For: ✔ Associate’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field + 3 years of industry experience ✔ Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills ✔ A passion for mentoring, teaching, and helping others succeed Why Join The Arc Erie County?
