Job Summary
Assists with general workshop activities while completing on the job training and Cummins-based training In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Assist with cleaning, inspections, disassembly, and basic workshop tasks. Follow documented procedures and Standard Repair Times (SRTs) to complete basic repairs and maintenance.
Complete work orders, service documentation, and timesheets accurately. Enter required information into business systems and forms. Complete training aligned with skill development and business needs. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area. Ensure tools and equipment are clean and operating correctly. Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and legislation.

Competitive hourly rates and annual bonus potential All tooling, PPE, and uniforms supplied (uniforms laundered) Day shift position available – Overtime available to support workload needs.
Great location Wetherill Park (Western suburbs of Sydney) In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Play a supportive role in the high-quality rebuilding and repairing of Cummins engines, including High Horsepower Diesel Engines This role will support the Rail/Rebuild team working on medium duty, high horse power and auxiliary power support units.
Get a chance to work on the engines of Sydney Trains diesel fleet and do planned and reactive maintenance works. Work as part of a highly skilled team delivering rebuilt engines using multiple types of equipment Learn new skills, through on-the-job training Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents Complete required documentation, such as Safety Check Sheets, Process Quality Checks, Daily Time Sheets To be successful in this role you will need the following: Any related mechanical work experience Punctual and reliable Attention to detail Great time management, process driven and ability to prioritise Team player with initiative and aptitude for learning Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly rate paid as a permanent salary.
