Manufacturing Engineer - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

Develop, implement and/or improve processes in a fast paced, high technology, electronics assembly environment and provide manufacturing capability to meet or exceed product quality, quantity, and cost requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. or B.A. degree in Engineering discipline (preferably Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering) One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing assembly environment Essential Job Functions: Review new product designs for manufacturability Evaluate, purchase, install & qualify new production equipment Work with customers and/or vendors on process transfers Program automated equipment (SMT, Ovens, Flip.

Chip, Dispense systems, etc.) Propose changes for cost savings, yield, & productivity improvements Research latest technologies in relation to capability improvements Train manufacturing personnel on assembly procedures Provide technical support to sales & marketing teams for change requests Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Demonstrated understanding of basic engineering fundamentals Familiarity with machine vision systems & robotics Experience with basic quality tools Proficient in CAD systems (AutoCAD or Solid.
