Clubs & Academic Intervention Sponsors (Stipend Opportunity): Architects of Student Engagement and Attachment Location: Mc. Cluer High School Status: Semester or Year-Long Extra-Duty Proposal Assignment | Open to Building Staff | Non-Exempt / Extra-Pay Stipend Contract Work Schedule: After-School Hours (Semester 1, Semester 2, or Full-Year Program Options) The Opportunity: Innovate, Engage, and Inspire Beyond the Bell In Ferguson-Florissant, our "New Chapter" centers on creating vibrant "attachment points" where every scholar feels connected, valued, and empowered.
The Clubs & Interventions Stipend Program gives building educators the freedom to design custom after-school clubs, academic intervention groups, or enrichment activities tailored to student interest and campus goals. Whether launching a coding club, a creative arts collective, a specialized academic intervention group, or a youth leadership initiative, staff members can pitch their program proposal directly to building administration.

Stipend & Disbursement Framework Pay Scale & Compensation: Paid as an extra-duty stipend under the District Extra-Pay Schedule upon program approval and completion. Disbursement Schedule: 1st Semester Programs: Paid in full on or around February 10th .
2nd Semester Programs: Paid in full on or around May 10th . Participation Guidelines: Staff members are limited to a maximum of two (2) club or intervention stipends per school year . Positions are re-posted annually to encourage fresh, responsive programming for evolving student needs. Stipends are strictly intended for direct student engagement and cannot be used for administrative tasks or general staff responsibilities.
Application & Proposal Guidelines Before submitting an application, candidates must consult with their Building Principal to ensure the proposed program aligns with campus goals and budget availability. Your application must include the following proposal details: Program Name: Official title of the club or intervention group.
Goals & Objectives: Clear statement of purpose and intended student outcomes. Target Student Group: Anticipated student enrollment and grade levels. Logistics & Schedule: Meeting location, frequency, duration, and day(s) of the week. Culminating Event: Showcase, performance, presentation, tournament, or final project.
Impact Metrics: Specific methods used to measure student growth, attendance, and program success.
Role Summary
Club and Intervention Sponsors establish meaningful after-school enrichment and support environments that increase student connection to school. Reporting to the Building Principal , sponsors plan structured activities, maintain attendance, monitor student growth, communicate with families, and ensure student safety throughout the program duration.
Why You'll Succeed (Qualifications) Current Building Staff Member: Must be an active employee based at the applying school site.
Education
& Credentials: Possess at least 60 college credit hours OR hold a valid Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate (Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate preferred). Clearances & Compliance: Complete all board-approved background checks, assigned Safe. Schools video modules, and Youth Suicide Awareness certification training.
Student-Centered Innovator: Passion for mentoring scholars, building positive relationships, and facilitating hands-on, interactive learning. Your Impact (Key Duties)
- Program Design & Execution Develop a structured meeting schedule and outline engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with proposal goals. Facilitate regular after-school sessions that foster belonging, skill-building, or academic growth. Plan and execute a meaningful culminating event (e.g., exhibition, contest, showcase) to highlight scholar achievements.
- Student Supervision & Data Tracking Maintain active, continuous supervision of participating scholars at all times. Track daily student attendance and maintain required program records. Collect and report program impact data to building leadership to evaluate student outcome success.
- Family Communication & Administration Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding program schedules, expectations, and student success. Complete all required district logistics paperwork, including in-district or out-of-district travel forms if field trips occur. Upkeep student behavior expectations in alignment with the District Student Code of Conduct. Your Leadership Partners Primary Support: Building Principal, Assistant Principal, & Campus Activity Coordinator Administrative Evaluator: Building Principal The Logistics of Your Success Classification: Seasonal / Semester Extra-Duty Proposal Contract. Work Setting: Campus classrooms, gymnasiums, computer labs, outdoor fields, or dedicated facility spaces. Physical Readiness: Moderate activity appropriate to the proposed program (may include standing, walking, reaching, and lifting materials up to 20�50 lbs).
