Position Overview

Three Notch Group is seeking a Human Resources Professional I to support a variety of human resources functions through diversified administrative, clerical, and employee-support activities. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate employee information, supporting onboarding and benefits administration, processing employment and payroll-related changes, and helping ensure compliant and efficient HR operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, service-focused, and committed to delivering a positive employee experience. This position provides opportunities to gain experience across multiple HR disciplines while building knowledge of employment practices, compliance requirements, payroll, benefits, and employee relations.

Primary Responsibilities Maintain employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Assist with the administration and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs. Coordinate onboarding activities, including preparing new-hire materials, scheduling meetings, facilitating orientations, and supporting employee integration.

Conduct orientation sessions and provide information regarding company policies, benefits, and employment practices. Assist employees with payroll changes, benefit enrollments, and routine HR-related transactions. Respond to employee inquiries and provide accurate, authorized information regarding HR programs, policies, and procedures.

Process employment-related paperwork, personnel actions, status changes, and employee data updates. Assist with benefits administration activities, recordkeeping, enrollment processes, and employee communications. Verify payroll-related changes and maintain accurate records supporting payroll and benefit administration.

Prepare, compile, and maintain HR reports, personnel information, and supporting documentation. Assist with workplace-incident reporting, recordkeeping, and other compliance-related administrative activities as assigned. Support cross-training efforts and learn multiple HR functions to provide operational flexibility within the department.

Follow company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned. The Human Resources Professional I will keep records organized and current, process transactions accurately, respond to employee questions effectively, and contribute to a positive employee experience from onboarding through day-to-day employment support.

The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, strong customer-service skills, and a willingness to continuously learn. They will build knowledge across multiple HR functions, contribute to process improvement efforts, and support the organization through dependable and efficient HR administration.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Associate degree preferred, or high school diploma/GED with at least three years of HR-related experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general business software applications. Strong written and verbal communication, customer-service, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

Knowledge of employment practices, compliance requirements, and HR administrative processes preferred. Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to compile data and prepare reports accurately. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Current and valid driver’s license required.

Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll systems preferred. Ability to work primarily in an office environment with occasional travel and extended work hours as needed. Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods and perform the seeing, hearing, talking, standing, bending, walking, reading, writing, and reaching required for the role.
