Assistant Location Lead

Location Lead – Parts & Operations Durant, Iowa | Full-Time | On-Site 7:30 am – 5 pm Pay: $60,000–$80,000+, based on experience An established agricultural equipment dealership is seeking a Location Lead for one of its busiest stores. You’ll anchor the parts operation and lead by helping customers and coworkers. This is a hands-on role.

Most days start at the parts counter and in the back room, keeping inventory accurate and orders moving. You’ll also back up the office and sales paperwork so the store manager can stay with customers. You’ll report to Operations and work across departments as store needs change. We welcome experienced parts leads and dependable people ready to grow into more responsibility.

You don’t need a management title to lead; you need honesty, initiative, follow-through, and a willingness to learn. What You’ll Do Lead the parts counter: help customers and technicians identify, locate, and order parts. Receive, inspect, stock, and process returns; keep inventory accurate with cycle counts. Pull transfers and assist with parts deliveries and pickups.

Back up the office: phones, payments, cash drawer, and deposits. Help process equipment deal paperwork and keep sales moving. Cross-train teammates and help set daily priorities. A curious, coachable person who wants to learn the whole dealership. Experience and Qualifications Three or more years of work experience, including customer-facing responsibilities. Parts counter or parts lead experience at an ag, auto, or equipment dealer strongly preferred.

Experience leading, training, or helping others succeed, formally or informally. Comfortable using computers and learning inventory and business systems. Familiarity with agricultural equipment and John Deere products is a plus. Forklift or material-handling experience is helpful. Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Schedule and Growth This position works across office, parts counter, warehouse, shop, and outdoor areas. Occasional early mornings, evenings, Saturdays, or extended hours may be needed. The role offers broad dealership experience and a path toward future location leadership as skills and business needs align.
