Patient Support Representative

Our Family Practice Guilderland office is hiring a full-time Patient Support Representative to join their team! The hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:45pm. The primary responsibility of this role is to answer phones in a high-volume call center, and to schedule appointments.

Responsibilities

Answer multiple line phone system, forwarding calls to appropriate location or handling calls personally when appointments are needed. Remove messages from phone system and return calls to patients as needed. Cancel and reschedule patients when necessary. Schedule appointments for patients, following office protocols for access to care.

Document verbal conversations and information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner. Transfer/retrieve office phones to/from answering service. Answer overflow of phone calls and direct appropriately. Process incoming telephone calls/messages based on office policy and procedure. Compensation

$16.00 - $21.00 per hour CCP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred.
