Customer Service - Customer Service Representative

Summary: Responsible for assisting and servicing customers on the phone and online. Duties: Answer incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner. Answer customer product questions using product knowledge and catalogue. Inform customers of prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customers.

Watch email and other digital mediums for incoming orders. Be familiar with customer special requirements. Enter customer order data into computer system. Solicit sales of new or additional services. Prepare customer reports. Prepare orders for warehouse processing. Maintain files for order-related paperwork in an organized manner.

Address customer complaints or escalate if necessary. Process refund requests when appropriate. Other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 6 months to 1 year of related job experience preferred. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods. Working Conditions: Heated and air-conditioned office Internal employee eligibility: Employee should meet performance (ie: not been placed on a final written warning for performance and have less than 9 attendance points). Have been in current position for at least 6 months unless specified by job posting requirements due to business needs.
