Legal Specialist

Greenvolt Power is our segment dedicated to the Development & Constructionof utility-scale solar and wind projects. Greenvolt is seeking a proactive and business-oriented Legal Specialist to support Greenvolt's operations in Hungary.

This role is intended for a legal professional with 3-5 years of experience, including exposure to the energy sector, who can independently manage legal matters and serve as a reliable point of contact for the local business. The successful candidate will provide legal support across project development, construction and operational activities, with a strong focus on energy-related legal matters.

This position requires regular interaction with internal stakeholders and external parties, ensuring legal risks are properly assessed and business objectives are supported. Key accountabilities Provide legal support to the Hungarian business across development, construction and operational activities. Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including EPC, O&M, consultancy, supplier and service agreements.

Support project development activities, permitting processes and regulatory matters related to renewable energy projects. Identify legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented solutions to internal stakeholders. Coordinate with external law firms, regulatory authorities and public entities when required. Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the renewable energy sector in Hungary.

Support corporate governance and compliance activities when necessary. Assist in dispute prevention and management activities. Maintain legal documentation and contract management records. Provide legal guidance to internal departments, including Development, Engineering, Procurement and Operations. Act as a local legal focal point and ensure continuity of legal support in the absence of senior legal team members.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Law Qualification to practice law in Hungary is considered a strong advantage. 3-5 years of professional legal experience. Previous experience within the renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities or construction sectors. Solid understanding of Hungarian legal and regulatory frameworks. Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.

Exposure to project development and energy-related legal matters. Experience managing external legal counsel. Fluency in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken. Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Business-oriented mindset with the ability to balance legal risks and commercial objectives.
