If working under these values excites you, read on: Position Overview Role: The role of the Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS) is to primarily oversee execution and compliance of cadastral survey work as well as build client and industry relations. The role will report to the Quality Control Team Lead. The OLS will also help share learning opportunities with the Field and Drafting Team Leads to help ensure the standards of all Legal plans at IBW are maintained while mentoring junior staff.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Provide regulatory oversight of all cadastral survey products Check and sign cadastral surveys Quoting, Project Manager mentorship and Business Development tasks. Help develop cadastral knowledge of all staff Responsibilities Maintain your Ontario Land Surveyor (Cadastral) designation in good standing Competently and thoroughly perform boundary calculations for the legal aspect of projects Competently and thoroughly perform plan checking for legal plans Sign and professionally certify legal survey plans digitally across regional office boundaries.

Provide professional feedback and recommendations to research, field, calculation, and drafting production staff members Provide professional feedback and recommendations to colleagues with similar professional qualifications Provide professional feedback and recommendations to management regarding workflow processes to correct potential systematic workflow issues Other duties as required including but not limited to, quoting, project managing, client communication and meetings and general business development.

Additional Preferred Experience/Qualifications: Knowledge of general industries that relate to surveying: building, planning, engineering, underground utilities, etc. Knowledge of key markets, local/broad market trends that could translate to new opportunities. Prior experience in client management and expanding reach in key market segments.

Must have humility, be approachable and also be comfortable offering guidance to Project Managers working on their projects. Must have knowledge of key markets within IBW’s service area.

Compensation

and Benefits The salary range for this position is $60 - $80/hr.
