Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is a part of Salina Regional Health Center's Medical Assistant (MA) Program with Stepful. Upon hire, the MA Student will actively enroll in the online MA program through Stepful. Under the supervision of a professional nurse, team lead, or supervisor in the department, the MA Student assists departments in clinical settings to provide quality care. This includes scheduling patient appointments, taking vital signs, transporting patients, clerical support, observation & and surveillance to prevent patient injury, and helping the professional nurse with interventions. The MA Student also interacts with other departments as needed, performs cleaning, and restocks supplies, all under the direction of their appropriate supervisor.
