Academic Coach

Academic Coach

LaVenture Club | Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County Part-Time (18–24 hrs/week) | $21.65–$22.97 DOE/DOQ

Learning isn't always about getting the right answer. Sometimes it's about having the confidence to ask a question, the patience to try again, or someone who makes the process exciting.

At LaVenture Club, we're looking for an Academic Coach who can help school-age youth approach learning with curiosity, confidence, and a willingness to explore new possibilities.

You'll provide homework support, strengthen academic skills, and create engaging enrichment experiences that bring learning to life. Whether you're leading a STEM challenge, exploring technology, experimenting with a hands-on project, or helping youth tackle a tricky assignment, you'll find creative ways to make learning meaningful and fun.

Fun is one of our core values, and we believe it belongs in learning, too. You'll help create experiences where youth can laugh, experiment, work together, and discover that building new skills can be as enjoyable as activities they love.

This role is about more than academics. You'll encourage problem-solving, celebrate progress, and help youth discover that mistakes are part of learning. By building positive relationships and creating a supportive environment, you'll help young people develop skills and confidence that extend beyond the classroom.

You'll also collaborate with Club staff, families, schools, and community partners to support student success and create opportunities for growth.

We're looking for someone who brings patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in helping youth succeed. Someone who can adapt to different learning styles, encourage new ideas, and make even challenging subjects feel approachable.

If you enjoy inspiring curiosity, finding creative solutions, and helping young people recognize what they're capable of, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and help make learning an experience youth can feel excited about!
