Special Education Bus Assistant

Position Title: Special Education Bus Assistant Building: Pick up and Drop off from Mentone Elementary Hours: Monday – Friday 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm Salary: $13.80 per hour Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Ability to communicate well and work with a team Experience working with children with disabilities is preferred General Responsibilities: Assist bus driver in implementing bus rules and safety procedures Assist student with entering/exiting the bus and school building Assist bus driver with evacuation drills Help students to secure seat belts and 5-point harness Engage with students to promote a positive bus environment Physical Responsibilities: Must be able to move around bus seats and bend over to unstrap wheelchair straps.
