Senior AI Product Owner
Job description
Position Overview
International is undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to becoming a provider of complete and sustainable transport solutions. As part of this journey, we are investing heavily in digital capabilities, data products, and AI-enabled tools. My. International Dealer is a key component of this ecosystem, enabling dealers and service teams with smarter, more proactive, and more efficient workflows.
We have an exciting opportunity for an AI Product Owner – My. International Dealer. This role supports the broader AI product roadmap by owning the backlog and delivery priorities for defined AI use cases that improve service workflows, recommendations, and decision support across the My. International Dealer ecosystem.
The Product Owner will work within a cross-functional agile team in the Dealer Digitalization organization. The role is part of the product ownership and collaborates closely with engineers, UX, data scientists, and business stakeholders to clarify needs and translate them into practical, production-ready capabilities.
This is a hands-on product delivery role. You will independently manage assigned initiatives, define requirements and acceptance criteria, maintain backlog readiness, while contributing being part of building the product yourself. This role has no direct reports. We are looking for someone with strong ownership, curiosity, and a willingness to learn quickly while growing their experience with AI products and the My.
International Dealer ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Own and maintain the backlog for assigned AI use cases within the My. International Dealer ecosystem, supporting the broader AI product roadmap. Make day-to-day product decisions for assigned initiatives, including requirements, feature priorities, user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature acceptance. Align larger priorities, dependencies, and trade-offs with senior product leadership and the broader product team.
Understand dealer workflows, service processes, and operational pain points to identify and prioritize practical AI opportunities. Partner with users, product owners, UX, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to clarify needs and turn them into execution-ready work. Define how AI insights, recommendations, and workflow guidance should be surfaced, explained, and acted upon within dealer workflows, while contributing in the building phase, being directly hands-on.
Ensure assigned work is ready for delivery by maintaining clear requirements, prioritized stories, dependencies, and acceptance criteria. Drive assigned capabilities from discovery through pilot and production, including MVP definition, feedback collection, adoption tracking, and continuous iteration. Track product adoption, user feedback, and business impact, sharing accountability for outcomes with the broader cross-functional team.
Prioritize work based on business impact, user value, feasibility, risk, and speed to learning. Contribute to technical and data discussions, including integrations, data dependencies, data quality, transparency, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop design, while engineering and architecture leaders own technical direction.
Clarify requirements, make timely trade-offs within assigned scope, and help remove delivery blockers across stakeholders. Contribute to a team culture that values curiosity, collaboration, pragmatism, accountability, and continuous learning. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of technical project/program management experience At least 1 years of lead experience OR Master's degree and at least 3 years of technical project/program management experience At least 1 years of lead experience OR At least 8 years of technical project/program management experience At least 1 years of lead experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role delivering digital products in complex, workflow-driven environments. Ability to independently manage assigned product initiatives, including backlog ownership, prioritization, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature acceptance.
Experience building and delivering data-driven, automation, analytics, or AI-enabled capabilities with a focus on practical adoption and measurable business value. Strong product thinking and sound day-to-day decision-making, with the judgment to escalate broader priorities, trade-offs, and risks to senior product leadership.
Ability to understand user workflows and pain points and translate them into intuitive, effective product requirements and experiences. Experience collaborating with UX, engineering, architecture, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions. Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data dependencies, model limitations, and the practical considerations of deploying AI into business workflows.
Hands-on experience is required. Comfort with modern product practices, including MVP definition, experimentation, metrics, feedback loops, iterative delivery, and adoption tracking. Familiarity with Palantir Foundry or a similar data and AI platform is helpful, but deep hands-on engineering expertise is not required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clarify needs, document decisions, surface trade-offs, and maintain alignment. A proactive, curious, and solution-oriented mindset, with a willingness to learn the My. International Dealer ecosystem and grow experience with AI products.
