Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Full & Part-Time Shifts Available! Location: Staples, Motley, and Pillager, MN Position Summary We are looking for Full and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with disabilities, chronic mental illness, and/or brain injuries in a home setting. DSPs help people live as safely and independently as possible.

You will provide care, help with daily tasks, and support each person based on their needs.

Key Responsibilities

Help with daily care and personal care needs Give medications as trained and directed Help with meals, cleaning, laundry, and other home tasks Help people build and use daily life skills Support people with trips, outings, and time in the community Follow each person's care and support plans Use safe ways to respond to changes in mood or behavior Check on people and help keep the home safe Complete notes and other required records Share key updates with the team Work with team leads, managers, and other care staff Follow company rules and state rules Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license and good driving record Must pass a Minnesota DHS background study Must pass a pre-employment drug screen Able to lift up to 50 pounds Able to do the physical tasks of the job Basic computer skills Able to read and complete work notes Able to follow care plans, company rules, and 245D rules Schedule Requirements Full and Part-Time shifts available Day: 7AM–7PM and 9AM–9PM Evening: 3PM–7PM and 3PM–9PM Awake NOC: 7PM–7AM Sleep NOC: 9PM–9AM Must be able to work assigned shifts Weekend and holiday shifts may be required Must be on time and have good attendance Awake NOC staff must stay awake and alert for the full shift Sleep NOC staff must be able to wake up and help when needed Preferred Skills Good communication skills Works well with others Calm when things get busy or hard Dependable and on time Able to work on their own Willing to learn and adapt Benefits for Full-Time Employees 401(k) with employer match Health benefits, including ICHRA, FSA, vision, dental, and group life insurance PTO when eligible Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Mileage pay when applicable Paid training Meals on shift
