Head of Business Support & Development

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Oversight

• Lead and coordinate all functions within the Business Support & Development Department.
• Align department objectives with the organization’s strategic plan and growth priorities.
• Develop and enforce operational standards, procedures, and accountability systems.

1. Finance Oversight

• Supervise financial planning, reporting, and compliance across all entities.
• Review budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
• Provide the ED and board with insights for financial and sustainability decisions.

1. Facilities Oversight

• Ensure the care, safety, and functionality of all buildings, equipment, and physical infrastructure.
• Review facility maintenance schedules and approve capital improvements.

1. Technology Oversight

• Guide technology strategy and ensure digital systems support organizational efficiency.
• Approve ICT budgets and oversee cybersecurity, software selection, and data systems.

1. Development & Partnerships

• Design and implement funding strategies (grants, partnerships, tuition, earned income).
• Oversee donor reporting and ensure transparent stewardship of funds.
• Build relationships with external partners and collaborators.

1. Team Leadership

• Mentor, coach, and evaluate department managers.
• Foster collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement across functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance, Business Administration, or related field ( Master’s preferred).
• Professional certification (ICAN or equivalent). - 7–10 years of senior-level experience in finance, operations, or systems management.
• Proven success in managing multidisciplinary teams.
