Date: 2013/11/07 Revision: 2024/06/07 SUMMARY The Assembly Department Member is responsible and held accountable for performing the following operations: Material Handling Safety Quality & Inspection Maintenance Communications Record Keeping Productivity & Efficiency Housekeeping Training Continuous Improvement JOB RESPONSIBILITES include but not limited to the following duties.
Other duties may be assigned. Read & follow work center job instructions Keep up with production rates Keep assembly tools organized Assemble part to drawing specifications. Follow and perform inspection plans to ensure quality requirements are met Use and develop setup reduction practices to maximize productivity & efficiency Transport and arrange materials efficiently to & from the work enter area Identify and eliminate non-value-added operations Assist as a shared resource on other work enters or operations, if qualified Assist in training personnel Perform operator maintenance scheduled on equipment and tools Assist in developing and follow the production schedule Perform good housekeeping Assist in writing department procedures, process instructions, and programs Follow safety procedures Attend department meetings daily Encourage, implement, and support continuous improvement within the department Attend and participate in continuous improvement meetings Provide suggestions for more efficient assembly methods/processes Get along with other employees QUALIFICATIONS To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform the job responsibilities effectively.

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or GED Successful completion of initial 90-day probationary period Effective communicating in English both orally and in written form Able to perform the math applications, to use the tools & equipment, and to understand & apply blueprint applications required by the job responsibilities CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED Hazardous Material Training Forklift License will be required if the employee operates a forklift.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS 100% of the job positions day is spent walking, standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, and/or lifting weights up to 50 pounds and lifting over their heads. WORK ENVIRONMENT Exposure to machinery vibration and noise, high summer temperatures & humidity, and cold winter temperatures are part of the job.
